About

I am an Adjunct Professor of English at College of DuPage (COD), where I teach first year composition. I am also an ABD graduate student at The Ohio State University in the Linguistics Department, where I am currently finishing up the writing of my dissertation on language change and variation in American English as it is spoken in present-day Columbus, OH.  More generally, I am a sociolinguist whose work in linguistics focuses on language change and variation in 19th, 20th, and 21st Century American English from the perspective of the instrumental analysis of language change and variation trends in the vowel systems of European American and African American native speakers of American English.
